Signing in
Where to sign in to ABS Elevate, the three ways to do it, what happens the first time, and how to recover a forgotten password.
You do not create an ABS Elevate account for yourself. Your account is created for you by Africa Business School, using the email address the school holds for you. Signing in is therefore the first thing you do, not the second.
Where to go
ABS Elevate is at https://app.abs-elevate.ma — the address named in its own Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If your school gave you a different address, use that one.
If you are not signed in, any page you open sends you to the sign-in page, which is headed Sign in.
The sign-in page is shown in English whichever language you use inside the platform afterwards. Once you are in, ABS Elevate follows your language setting.
The three ways to sign in
The sign-in page offers three routes. Which one is right for you depends on how your account was set up, and if you are unsure, ask the program office rather than guessing.
The form at the top of the page asks for Email and Password, then Sign in.
Use the email address the school holds for you — the one your ABS correspondence arrives at. It is not case-sensitive.
A Show password checkbox reveals what you have typed, which is worth using if a sign-in keeps failing for no obvious reason.
By signing in, you accept the platform's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, both linked at the bottom of the sign-in page.
The first time you sign in
If your account was created with a temporary password, ABS Elevate will not let you go any further until you have replaced it. After you sign in with the temporary password, the page changes to Change Password.
Type your new password into Password, and the same password again into Retype Password. The page lists the rules beside the fields: at least 8 characters, and one uppercase and one lowercase letter.
Choose Save.
You are signed in immediately and taken to your home page. There is no confirmation email and no second step.
If you take too long over this and see Session Expired: Try Again, you have not lost anything. Sign in again with the temporary password and set the new one more promptly.
Nothing to sign up for
There is no "create an account" or "register" option on the sign-in page, and this is deliberate. If you have no account, the program office creates one for you. If you believe you should have one and do not, contact the program office rather than trying to make one.
If you have forgotten your password
On the sign-in page, choose Forgot your password?. This opens a page headed Password reset.
Enter your Email and choose Send reset code. A verification code is sent to that address.
Enter the code into Verification code, then your new password into Password and Confirm Password, and choose Reset Password.
Choose Login to return to the sign-in page and sign in with the new password.
If the code does not arrive, Resend verification code sends another; the page confirms with Verification code sent and lets you ask again after a short pause. Check your spam folder before resending more than once.
Reset passwords have stricter rules
The password you set during a reset must contain at least 8 characters, one uppercase, one lowercase, one number and one special character — stricter than the rules applied to a first-time password change. A password accepted on first sign-in may be refused here.
The special character has to come from a short list: ! @ # $ % ^ / \ & *. Nothing else counts, so a password ending in ? or - is refused while looking perfectly compliant. Choose one that satisfies the stricter rule and you will not have to think about it again.
Signing out
Open the account menu in the top bar — it shows Signed in as and your name — and choose Sign out. Account Settings in the same menu is where you change your own details and preferences.
If none of this works
Nothing on the sign-in page tells you whether an account exists for a given address, so a refused sign-in can mean several things: a mistyped password, an account that has not been created yet, or an address the school does not have on file.
Contact the program office. They can see whether your account exists and which of the three routes above applies to you. Getting support explains how to reach them once you are inside the platform, and Troubleshooting covers the problems that come up most often.
